Level 3 Award in Periodic Inspection

This course is designed for practising electrians who are involved in the periodic verification and certification of existing installations.

Objectives:

This course aims to prepare delegates for the practical and theoretical assessments (City & Guilds 2391-51 Level 3 certificate)

Entry Requirements:

Candidates must have: 17th Edition Wiring Regulations BS7671 (C&G 2382-15). It would also be expected that candidates have a basic knowledge and understanding of electrical science and principles, and experience of electrical installation work either within the electrical contracting industry or an allied trade.

Course Summary:

Intended for learners who have previously gained qualifications in Initial Verification, perhaps through a recognised apprenticeship and wish to expand their skills to include reporting on the condition of existing electrical installations.

This course is designed to enable learners to understand the principles, practices and legislation for periodic inspection, testing and condition reporting of electrical installations in accordance with statutory and non-statutory regulations and requirements. Its content is the knowledge needed by a learner to underpin the application skills for the periodic inspection, testing and condition reporting of electrical installations.

Achievement of the course objectives will be verified by both practical and theoretical on-line assessment.
